GREAAAAAAAAAAT chinese food for the area, and trust me, i know chinese food, my father was/is a chinese chef for over 20 years, it doesnt beat his cooking lol but it is the best chinese food in the area, from pembroke to northbay. The little lady who owns it is so nice, never once have i thought the food was microwaved. Their dipping sauce, possibly....but that's about it. I must say they do have the greatest chicken balls I have ever had.
This place is not good. The restaurant was almost empty the night we were in, and our food still took FOREVER to come out. And I DID hear a microwave as well...
Anyway, I'm glad that some people like this place, but having lived in Montreal and taught English in China and Korea for 3 years, I know this is not authentic, or good, Asian food. Sorry.
Reading previous review i just got SOOOO angry.People who have NO LIFE and have nothing better to do as to write an absolute lie!
My husband works at this restaurant as a helper and we ordered food before he started to work there and continue ordering.
Chef and the owner ALWAYS makes every single dish from scratch. Thats why they actually having problems sometimes with long food orders and even longer take out ones BUT that's the point its all made fresh out of never frozen ingredients and literally on a spot!
Its actually funny what a person who wrote previous review said about microwave as restaurant does not have one simply because there is no need for it as food is made fresh.
I am from Toronto myself love food and have been to tons of restaurants in my life this is very good quality food restaurant and i will stand by it.
A community the size of Pembroke is very lucky to have a food as good as what you will find at the New Asian Cusine.
Service is very good, take the time to talk to the chef's wife who runs the front of house. Very sweet, interesting lady who truly wants you to be satisfied...

We first visited this restaurant last November after a mate caught it with his eye while we were passing through town. Id introduced him to Pho the week before in Ottawa. To this day I am still glad it caught his eye. There is so much to say about this restaurant. That they offer Pho in Pembroke is still a blessing. The coconut cream chicken curry is big and flavorful, the spring roles and wraps are always full of flavor, the lady who runs the place is always friendly and always eager to help new initiates to her restaurant out. We constantly bring new friends to try the place as it really is a diamond in the rough. My only recommendation to customers new to this type of food is to not ask for the spices to be dulled down for your pallet. Doing so takes away all the flavor that is best in this cuisine. The portions are great, the Menu is huge and offer something for everyone. This is truly the best comfort food you will ever find in Pembroke.
