So many times I've been here it was better. The owner lady no has no time for you, she's abrupt and rude. This time even worse. I can accept that. The pad thai was prettty watery. All in all this was not the best time there, considering I was bragging so much about it.
The menu is mindboggling with 128 Thai dishes, 50 Vietnamese and 80 Chinese. Its easier when you realise that the same basic group is repeated with a number variations in spices etc. But the food is very good.
If you like being coddled at a restaurant, this is not for you, as the lady in charge has no time for small talk. You write your dish number and she takes it. She did volunteer that the seafood dish was quite peppery.
The food here is so delicious. The menu is huge! All the dishes taste really fresh and the "bubble tea" is amazing! I forget what I ordered exactly, but it was spicy cripsy chicken on top of noodles. It was excellent. They also have the deep-fried standards like chicken wings, rice, and chicken balls. Anyone remember the chicken balls at Cresent Gardens? These are the closest that I've tasted to that recipe.
I love the atmosphere! There's always karaoke music playing in the background, and the floors and tables are spotless. The little asian lady always has an interesting story to tell.
All in all, although a bit expensive this restaurant makes great food, has a nice atmosphere. I'll be back!
Just okay, nothing special. The lady serving us was nice though. The food took awhile to come out and it was just "alright". It's not authentic. But for a quick meal, or a forgettable takeout meal, go for it.
Came back into town after moving away. Still a decent place, now some are right this is not what you'd get in TO or MTL. Let's face it Pembroke is hardly a cultural epicentre. But it is pretty good, Food is slow but it's hot and fresh and crispy.
Love this place
