Very disappointing. Food left a LOT to be desired. Service was even worst. The owners appear to be very young and inexperienced, and did not leave a pleasant impression. Would not recommend unfortunately.
Order the chicken parmaigana! Large portions! Ceaser salad was fantastic. I love this place. I just moved to oakville in the house behind the Olive Press. I have tried all over Oakville and this is the place to go. I came here and read the review on the oilve press and they didn;t look good. SO i thought I should find out for myself. I was wowed, every detail was taken care of! Food Excellent!, Service Extraordinare! Atmosphere Incredible! Trust me, decide for yourself, you need to try this restaruant it is well worth your time!
I don't normally write these sort of things but I had such a wonderful experience at the Olive Press I wanted to let others know. The atmosphere was very nice and the pictures of the owners relatives on the walls were a nice touch to make you feel welcomed. The staff was very nice and accommodating. However, what blew me away was the food. Everything that myself and my party ordered was absolutely delicious! From drink to dessert I was in heaven. I now have dreams about the Honeymoon Spaghetti. I can't wait til they deliver!
Just walking in the door I was blown away by the decor! I couldn't belive how nice it is inside! We had a larger group and our service was great and very friendly. The owner even came over to introduce himself and he was very courteous and friendly...This I thought was a nice touch. The food was delicious and was the best value for money you will find anywhere! It all tasted amazing and unlike most places there was a good amount of meat and vegtables included in the meals. I will definitely be back!
I would like to begin my review by expressing my complete and utter confusion regarding some of the reviews of The Olive Press. While not from Oakville, I have visited this establishment many times since its inception and have not been disappointed. The building is simply beautiful; finished in rich earthy tones and tumbled stone that contribute to the relaxed atmosphere. The service is top notch, boasting friendly staff who are courteous and tactful when taking orders or suggesting house favourites. Each time that I have eaten at The Olive Press one of the owners visited my table to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was pleasant. Now for the most important part; the FOOD! My friends and I enjoy ordering a number of appetizers to share when sampling the menu of a new restaurant and the selection of starters did not disappoint. We have visited The Olive Press on many occasions and I am proud to say that I have tested almost all of the appetizers with a few stand outs. The three cheese bruschetta is fantastic and so is the spinach and artichoke dip; if you are a garlic addict the Mussels in White Sauce provide that fix. When ordering entrees, you can’t go wrong with the pizza and my favourite pasta listing is the Lasagna with its generous portions of homemade goodness. I will definitely be returning, hopefully soon!!!!!!!
