what a freakin' nightmare! overly chilled stale desserts, old warm coffee..just a beer joint trying to cater to the students.Very poor service, and rude manager. Try some other places in the neighbourhood, The Bean Bar is a no go in our books.

Wow, hopping place to go in to any time of the day or week. Food is a little above average; however, with the poor service one receives upon coming in, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There isn't the comfort zone there once was in this place as the customer gets the strange feeling they feel like a participant in a puppy mill. Yes, the food is okay but the management when it comes to dealing with the customer and the staff have a little left to be desired.

First of all, the food was fantastic. Came out piping hot and delicious. My wife loved her butternut squash pasta with the sweet, nutty butter that came with it. I ordered the catch of the day. It was delicious! I've never had vodka accompanied with a cream so nicely...and the fresh Basil in it was a welcome change in food quality for restaurants in this city. The pasta... being fresh...was cooked to aldente. Just the way it should be. My wife and I finished our plates satisfied and full. Kudos to the kitchen workers. Service however was something I would rather forget about this place. Completely unknowledgeable, informal, unfriendly, and slow. It was somewhat busy when we arrived and we were very quickly corralled into a back booth and had menus shoved in our hands by a clearly inexperienced hostess. Our waiter was abrupt and only showed some manners and class when our bill was brought. Alas, not a sizeable tip was rewarded. Summing up, memorable food and service to be forgotten. Hopefully, whoever is running the floor will think to train wait staff better.

Very poor and rude service. Wow I have seen that a few times on this website. Maybe the manager needs to take a look at the training and manners of the staff. The food was very tasty but a bit overpriced .

The food was very tasty, but the service was slow. Was treated to free desserts because of the poor service. Enjoyed the atmosphere, decor and the waiter, who was very polite. It wasn't his fault. We shall return.......
