On September 18, 2010, we had our mother's 80th birthday dinner at the Nairn Ave location. There were about 50 people there and it was the worst service we have ever experienced. They even brought in extra staff for this. We can't complain about the service because there wasn't any!!!!!!
When the waitresses starting severing the food they said they would bring the kid's meals out first. 1 child's meal was taken to the wrong table and the child's meal that was order for that table didn't come and the snotty manager said it was because they changed tables which nobody did. Neither my husband nor I got any salad's, I didn't get my potato's and when I told the waitress about it she said she would bring some right out, and I'm still waiting for them, they never did come. At the booth I was sitting in there were 3 adults and 1 child. My meal came first, without getting any salad and no potato's with the meal. The child didn't get hers so she was eating off my plate and got full before her meal even came . I left the restaurant still hungry. There were 2 appetizers order and 1 appetizer was stressed to be brought out right away, one came about an hour after we ordered just before their meal was served and the other appetizer didn't come till AFTER the meal was served which was AFTER I was finished my meal and MY plate removed. I was finished my meal and my plate was removed before the other 2 adults got their meals. One the the people at my table didn't even get a choice of soup or salad...he was just brought soup. My son ordered the Peppercorn steak and it came without the peppercorn sauce and the waitress said she would bring it right out, well, he was half done his steak before she brought it.
And all of this was just at our table, I can just imagine the mess at all the other tables. The meals were ridiculously overpriced, one of the most expensive restaurants I have ever seen, and there was absolutely no service and the meals were wrong. I will NEVER go back there and I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. They turned what was suppose to be a happy, joyous occasion into a disaster!!!!!!
The place had boxes and christmas stuff still lying around way after the holidays had passed. The waitress was friendly and courteaous. The food was was good and very tasty. The lighting was dim and very romantic. We had a very pleasent evening. We would always come back.
