Went there for a family outing along with our kids 5 and 8yrs old. terrible experience.
Ordered idly and masala dosa.
Idly was reheated and sambar was burnt, sure that it was been boiling for more than 2days. red chutney was smelling very bad.
the interiors were all faded out and looking very old. not a kid friendly place.
now i will definitely hesitate to visit an Indian restaurant ever again.
Worst place to eat. Ambiance will make you puke and the place needs serious make over and pest control.
They screwed my Sunday. It took 20 minutes to take my order (though we were the only customers they were serving at that time).
Half the items in the menu are said to be "SOLD OUT". Rest of the items were stale and stinky.
It took around 45 minutes to prepare couple of dosas.
Utter disappointment.
The chutney which came along with dosa was very bad, it was made couple of days back.
I ordered Dosa Darbar's new BRUNCH PLATTER. The platter was served with baby masala dosa, idli, vada, kesari, upma and lemon rice. It also had 3 chutneys and sambar. Very filling, tasty, lots of variety and the price is only $ 5.99. Try this and you will love it.
"Recently Dosa Darbar added idli deal in their take out specials menu. 50 idli's costed me only $ 20. My family and the kids enjoyed. I also ordered their coconut chutney and sambar. The idli's were fresh, soft and tasty. I had to order 2 hrs in advance as they make them upon placing the order. This saved us lot of time and money.
I go to Dosa Darbar regularly. Last time I went there I was surprised. The entire look of the restaurant has changed and now its very classy. The color, interior, wall hangings, atmosphere, lights were amazing. I ordered mysore onion masala dosa spicy along with a beer to drink. The dosa had a very unique taste which I never experienced at many other places. The dosa was topped with onions and special mysore paste made from onions, red chillies and tomatos. The dosa was served with 3 chutneys and sambar. All the items were fresh. The service was awesome as they served me with refills of chutneys and sambar as required. The prices are very reasonable and will recommend all of you to try this combo.
