Jan Gelderman, a Dutch immigrant, founded Jan Gelderman Landscaping in Burlington with just $7.14 worth of tools and a 1948 Jeep Willy.

Today, the company is called Gelderman Landscape Services to better describe the diversity of services in Commercial Landscape Management and Residential Construction. Now onto the 3rd generation, we’re still a family company, and we care about the communities we work in.

Gelderman’s service area has grown wide across much of the golden horseshoe.

Thank you to Nathaniel, Adam and David for their work at Erin Meadows Senior Home. They always turn the machines and tools off when I walk by, which is very considerate as a lot of other companies don’t do that, and end up spraying people with grass. Their work looks excellent!

Andrea was a pleasure to deal with right from the beginning as we didn’t feel pressured and we felt that she wanted a result that we would be happy with. Her extensive knowledge of outdoor plants was very helpful when we chose the contents of our garden. Shawn and Misael brought the project to life with great attention to detail and with care for the property. They were a pleasure to work with and were consistent in leaving the property clean after their day’s work. Everyone at Gelderman was a joy to work with! We wanted a brick stone border put around our backyard garden bed (45 x 6 feet). Gelderman Landscaping Services, has been supporting our new L3 Harris (Wescam) location in Waterdown for the past 3 years. We have developed a strong working relationship in maintaining this property.We had previously partnered with the "Highway of Heroes" tree campaign, to create a living tree memorial on the property. Gelderman's team of Jason, Darren, Kurt, Seth and Cory just completed the finishing touches by installing concrete pads with benches that were donated by our employee's to enjoy for years to come.
