Clear the Way for Your Favourite! It’s Time to Vote to Name the Plows
It’s ‘snow’ joke. We need your vote! After receiving more than 93 name submissions, the City of Orillia has opened voting to members of the public to pick the name for two plows in their fleet.
The City of Orillia’s Winter Control Team has voted and selected their top five names from the submissions received. Voting will be open until Aug. 15, 2025 and can be completed online at orillia.ca/nametheplow.
The City has Extra Compost and We're Giving it Away!
From July 22 until Aug. 30 (or while supplies last), residents can pick up compost at either the Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.) or Morningstar Park (1125 Mississaga St. W.).
Residents must bring their own shovels and containers for self-loading the compost into their container or truck/trailer. Learn more at orillia.ca/waste.
