Our Optometrists
Goleta Amirli
Originally from Saskatchewan, Dr. Goleta Amirli attended the University of Regina where she majored in Chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon in 2009. During her clinical training, she gained valuable experience in all areas of optometry, especially ocular disease and eye surgery co-management at Eyes of Arizona Vision & Surgery Center, and Spivack-Omni Eye Specialists in Colorado. Dr. Amirli is committed to providing a high-quality eye care experience for all her patients. Her special interests include ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, refractive surgery co-management, and myopia management. Dr. Amirli has been an active member of Amigos; a group of optometric students and eye care professionals who provide vision care and eyeglasses to people in developing countries. Her past project has included a trip to Honduras. Outside of the office Dr. Amirli enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Tod McNab
Dr. Tod McNab is a graduate of the University Of Waterloo School of Optometry (1981) and a recipient of their Academic Achievement Scholarship. Dr. McNab established his practice in Richmond in 1986 and has since worked hard to develop an eye care clinic that meets the general and specialized needs of that community. He sits on the Canadian Examiners in Optometry and participates in the National Board Exam question writing, review, and selection process. As well, Tod sits on the Board of Directors of FYidoctors, Canada's largest provider of independent eye care services. He is also a member of Bausch+Lomb's Global Advisory Committee. A past chair of the Quality Assurance Committee for the B.C. College of Optometrists, Tod has been a highly active member of the Third World Eye Care Society, a B.C.-based group of eye care professionals who provide vision care and used eyeglasses at no charge to people most in need in developing countries. He has been part of vision care projects in Romania, India, Malawi and Cambodia. Dr. McNab is also a graduate of the Emily Carr School of Art and Design and majored in sculpture, where he received two scholarship awards. His work has been selected for both national and international shows. He is a fitness enthusiast, marathon runner and cyclist who lives in Vancouver with his wife and daughter.
Christie Cao
Dr. Cao obtained her Bachelor of Sciences from University of British Columbia and continued her education in Chicago where she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Illinois College of Optometry. During her clinical rotations, she gained valuable experiences in areas of dry eye management, specialty contact lenses, and myopia control at Silicon Valley Eye Physicians in California and the Illinois Eye Institute. She also co-managed a range of ocular diseases and cataract surgery post-operative care at VA Southern Nevada Medical Center. In her spare time, she enjoys finding new hikes, cooking and exploring new restaurants.
