Helping millions of Canadians Live Life Well.

About us

Built on a foundation of professional expertise and personal service, Shoppers Drug Mart has been meeting Canadians' health care needs for 50 years. What was once a small pharmacy in Toronto has grown into an organization of over 1,200 stores from coast to coast, becoming an indelible part of the lives of Canadians, young and old. Yet despite our growth, we have never forgotten our origins. We have always remained true to our belief that the personal satisfaction of each and every customer is at the root of our success - and it can only be ensured by the commitment of people who realize that success is built one customer at a time.

    Pharmacist/Owner at Shoppers Drug Mart 2222 & 2270 | Pharmacy, Cell Biology

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming Mayor Brenda Locke to our Newton Surrey Pharmacy Care Clinic, located at 7322 King George Blvd, open every day. It was an incredible opportunity to share how we’re expanding care in Newton through minor ailment prescribing — helping Surrey Memorial and other hospitals focus on critical care. We received our first challenge coin from the Mayor - What a moment! A symbol of the commitment to keep our promise: expanding access to care, right within reach. Grateful for the support from the City of Surrey as we work to make a meaningful impact in our community. Rain or shine, we had an incredible turnout. A heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated SDM Associates, Store teams, and Office Resources for their exceptional fundraising efforts. Together, let's continue to make a positive impact in our communities! 👏

Collaborating to benefit Canadians. Today we held our second Supplier Summit since I joined Loblaw. This event brought together over 2,600 representatives from both our business and our supplier community. Many joined from large multinational organizations, but a good number were from our smaller (but growing) supplier community. It was a great group and I loved talking with many of them after the summit, they especially liked that we pay them immediately to help with their cashflow. Ultimately, our business and our suppliers are all working towards the same thing: providing Canadians with as much value, quality and innovation as possible. Doing that requires collaboration, open communication and transparency with our suppliers. That's what today was all about. We shared updates regarding sourcing, operations, pharmacy and beauty, supply chain, marketing & brands, Loblaw Advance and more. There was great food, great conversation, and based on the feedback I've received, it was a valuable day for everyone in attendance. Already looking forward to next year and many thanks to our team who arranged it all. Btw please share your thoughts on what worked well and what we can do better for next year

  • The Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women in Moncton this past weekend was a great success, raising $135,000 for Little Courageous, the second trauma-informed daycare in North America and the first in New Brunswick.   Little Courageous, operated by the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre Inc., provides crucial support, counselling, and housing to individuals impacted by family violence, sexual assault, and mental health challenges.   This achievement reflects the dedication of our team and the generosity of our participants. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making a significant impact in the community!

This fund, held by the Winnipeg Foundation, will provide ongoing support and healing programs for families affected by this national tragedy. As our largest single donation to date, the partnership underscores our commitment to equity in women's health across Canada. A heartfelt thank you to the Manitoba Government and community partners for their leadership on this initiative. • At Shoppers Drug Mart, we recognize the importance of preventative health. Today, on Check Your Skin Day, we encourage all Canadians to prioritize their well-being by taking a moment to check their skin for any changes. Early detection is crucial in the fight against skin cancer.
