    From the moment I...

    From the moment I viewed the Scruffy Dog website, I knew that my precious dog; Macy and kitten Bischa just had to be photographed by illona. We were prepared prior to our shoot and when our big day arrived, we had a blast! Macy adored working with and for illona, as did Bischa. There is definitely something to be said for that "Scruffy Dog magic"!!!! We now have a memory book, 2 beautiful canvases that adorn the walls of our home, digital photographs etc. that capture the beauty and essence of

    Fantastic Photographer

    I would highly recommend Illona to anyone who wants top quality, unique photos of their pets. Not only is she extremely professional, her passion for dogs shines through in all she does. She is patient and kind - even when my one pup decided to go a bit crazy. My dogs absolutely love her! She has a way with animals, allowing her to capture stunning images! Thanks Illona for taking the time to make sure we were happy with everything, even doing extra editing for us until we were satisfied!

    Very poor quality...

    Very poor quality photos. I could have done better with my iPhone - I would have saved 700 dollars! Furthermore, she is very unpleasant to deal with - unbelievably unprofessional, irrational, and is very short temper with animals! She has no patience for the playfulness of puppies.

    Jessie, again, I am deeply sorry you felt you couldn't approach me with any of your concerns as your reviews are the only time you have every voiced ANY sort of displeasure or dissatisfaction with the services I provided you and the images I captured of your sweet Theo, from which you chose to order prints from. In spite of working hard on your session, images and final prints, and attempting numerous times to find out exactly what it was about your experience that was so dissatisfying that drove you to write the reviews you have, you have yet to make it clear where I did not deliver your images and prints as promised. Every step of the way, you and your husband Braden expressed pleasure with the results of the shoot, even emailing me: "Thank you very much for taking such nice pictures of Theo,” and then following up with an order. As you know, there is no minimum print order, no requirement to purchase anything ... so your order is further testament to your satisfaction in your session and its results. In another review, you claim numerous times that I ‘yelled’ at you, your husband and Theo, yet cannot provide me with the context in which this apparently occurred. I am utterly confused. As for a short temper with animals ... again, if there was some kind of misunderstanding during our session, I have welcomed you to express it to me, as I am mystified at your sudden turnaround in attitude. Clearly if I was impatient with animals and showed even a fraction of a “short temper” with them, I would not still be in business, Jessie. You have - in your other ‘reviews’ - demanded a refund, yet I have not once been asked in person or in writing, and I have no idea exactly what you are asking a refund for. I have emailed you several times – professionally and patiently – asking you to clarify, but you refuse to have any dialogue. Not once during any of our interactions did you or your husband voice any dissatisfaction – not in email form (of which I have all copies of), or during the one phone call (to which my assistant was a witness) ... my assistant was also there the evening that you picked up, proofed and approved of your ordered prints at the studio. .... as such, I am still completely unaware of where you feel I did not meet the contractual obligations. I simply don’t understand where this sudden turnaround has come from. I invite anyone to look at Theo’s gallery... http://www.scruffydogphotos.com/babyt ... and certainly challenge you, Jessie, to capture this quality and variety in images from your iPhone. However, even if that were possible, I’m not sure why you would hire me to begin with, Jessie ... my website provides more information than most photographers, and an extremely full portfolio; even before booking, all clients are fully aware of the pricing that goes with the custom artwork and fine art prints that I offer. I am sorry for this inexplicable turnaround and change of heart of yours, Jessie, but I am certainly glad that you have images of your sweet Theo. I wish you three nothing but the best.
